It was late in the evening, the sun setting its brillant colors over the fast expansion of water. Wind gently brushed through the desolated peer were Diamond walked. Paws gently padding against the wooden peer. Birds cawed loudly out overhead as she shook her body lightly. The water droplets flicking off, as she had just came out of the water for a quick swim to cool down. Having been running earlier that day she had figured what a place to cool down. The wreckage of ships and abandoned boats lined the coast line as she sighed lightly. Sometimes she missed the humans, other times she was glad they weren't around.
At least she wasn't being forced to prance around infront of other humans for there amusement and judgement. Her mother having died a week before still left her in a depressed state. She heard her mothers words ring in her ears right before she died you need to get out of here, find somewhere that you can fit in. Cause once we die living on your own is going to get harder and harder Then it didn't help that her father pushed her away telling her, that her mother was right. This upset her to no end but she walked away in a attempt to keep some dignity she didn't beg or cry.
This was were it led her, to the peer. Were there once was alot of activity bustling. She thought at times that life was like the tides that came in and went out. Ever changing perhaps one day she would actually find what her parents had been talking about.

Derius had looked out onto the peer, to his suprise he saw a dog. She was a pretty white femme, he sat on his haunches being shocked. He could tell it was a femme by the feminine looking body. Many times he has walked this route, little times has he seen somthing living. He gave a smile, he started to pad towards the female. He appraoched he slowly, not wanting to scare her or to supprise her.
He walked to her, he gave a small bark to let her know he was there. He smiled at her, he hoped she would stay. He hadn't had any company in ages it seemed. He walked to the edge of the peer, and looked into the deep ocean. he said quietly "Long i've waited for the company of another." He smiled and sat on his hanuches.

She hadn't been expecting to find another living soul here. It seemed so dead as of lately, sometimes she wondered if most of the other dogs didn't die with the humans. But more then likely they were scattered all over the place instead of all in one. It would make more sense no? She hadn't caught anothers scent on the wind, as the breeze was blowing up wind from her. The water having just started to dry as she looked up hearing the bark.
Ears perking up slightly as she turned abit in surprise. Raising one ear up as she returned the bark. Studying the other, they were clearly larger then she was in there build. Which kinda gave her the idea of them being male. Her eyes watching the other as she tipped her head slightly to the side before speaking Oh? Are you the only one around here? It was clear she was curious and must not have seen many herself running around.

He looked at her, she looked shocked and puzzled also. All these dogs were scattered, he had thought he heard a dog in the distance one night. A distant howl, echoing through the city. He searched the city in hope of finding somthing but he didnt, he wished he could find someone. He looked at her as sweet lyrics escaped into the wind "Oh? Are you the only one around here?" He gave a sigh, and looked at her he gave a solemn nod followed by a large yawn. "Yes, i am the only one that i have seen around. Besides you now, i thought i was the only one, I swear i hear dogs sometimes their echoing voices on the wind. But maybe its just ghosts." He gave little smile, looking out at the ocean listening to the wind whistle. He smiled and sat on his haunches again, looking at the femme before him.

She for the longest time had thought that she heard others. There voices carried on the wind, as if searching for something like she was. Like that of dogs lost in time, perhaps confused and running since the death of the humans. Many didn't understand how they, the canines and felines of the world seemed to come through the demise of the furless humans. She gave a smile, well as best a dog could give a smile. Her eyes dancing as she spoke hearing what he said before the glitter that was in them passed. Her head turning out to the water, then back as she spoke. I know, many nights I have heard the same thing. Thought that perhaps it was all in my imagination. A figiment trying to create something that wasn't there, to keep some sanity. The only others I knew of was my parents, then my mother died...and my father told me I had to go out. He agreed with my mothers dieing words I guess, just didn't expect to find anyone else around here Sitting down, the snow white fur contrasting deeply with the wooden peer they were one.

He looked at her as she spoke, then turned to face the ocean. A gust of wind blew his chops, opening like sails. He gave a smile looking into her orbs, he heard her take a breath as lyrics began to slowly come from his mouth. I know, many nights I have heard the same thing. Im sorry to hear your mother died, my mother died at birth. I never knew my father" He gave a sigh looking out into the ocean.

She may have looked like she was lost in such a desolated and large world. Void of all life except for them, and the felines that did manage to inhabit the lands. She was strong yet gently, by the way she held herself one could see this. She looked towards him as he started to speak, her ear raising lightly as she sat back on her haunchs carefully. Bringing a paw up to lick at it lightly, cleaning the dirt that had managed to loosen from her swim off. Before letting it fall once more to hold her body up nodding her head I am sorry to hear that....I guess we all learn life is tough one way or another eh?" Shaking her head abit.

He smiled at her, she looked very delicate. Long a void been empty was now being filled as he stared into her orbs, helpless against their power. He look at her with soft yet stern eyes, he wanted to show her that he was a very strong leader. He stood tall puffing his chest out, he wanted to show her he was strong but at the same time that he could be quite aggressive and territorial. "I am sorry to hear that....I guess we all learn life is tough one way or another eh?" he looked at her with stern eyes once again. "My life has been beyond tough, i would not like to talk about it yet, i do not yet know you."

She smiled nodding her head lightly as she spoke. The firmness in his voice let her know were she stood, but it just made her own stronger side start to show through. The way she held herself, was strong yet feminine. Hearing what he said she spoke slowly I understand Her head tipping lightly to the side before a thought crossed her mind once more So are these your lands here? Her eyes looking over his now puffed up manner of sitting.

She smiled nodding her head lightly as she spoke. He spoke firmly and stern hopefully letting her know where she stood. After he said that her body also puffed up and became strong looking. She let soft lyrics escape from her lips "I understand" she said. She tipped her head lightly to the side, she let a few more lyrics out. "So are these your lands here?" He looked at her and gave a sound nod.

Nodding her head once more she perked a ear up, eyes looking around slowly before coming to rest on him once more. Her tail gently swaying back and fourth against the wood of the peer as she spoke " Interesting, it's a nice place here...." having completely dried off her fur seemed to puff up some without her meaning to do anything. As she grimaced seeing her reflection in the water realizing how silly she looked.
